I can't vouch for the upcoming remake of Willard yet, but Crispin Glover's cover of the theme song (originally performed by Michael Jackson) is sublime. Admittedly, this cover isn't as odd as the music on his 1989 album, The Big Problem Does Not Equal The Solution - The Solution Equals Let It Be.
